I'm about to strip the wood from my 54 1/2 ton. Did a quick seach on LNC, Mid-Fifty and other sites and find the cost for oak about $380 and the stainless strips about $200. That's outrageous. What have some of you done? Any plans to buy out there to make my own? We're all competant with tools or we wouldn't be doing what we love to do - build trucks! What are some alternatives (i.e polished aluminum diamond plate) to laying out those big bucks?
