I had a smoke test ran & found the purge valve leaking.I've had many problems with the evap system on this truck. In fact its been about the only trouble except normal maintence. The last time it had a evap code the fuel senser in the tank shorted & it also fried my ecu. Does anyone else have as much trouble with this system as I have? I know I've had at least 10 different issues with mine.
I found the small/short rubber hoses running between the EGR tubing & EGR postion sensor (drivers side), had deteryated & has holes in them. I havent driven it yet to see if that fixed it but where is the evap canister purge valve & charcoal canisters located? How about the Vent Solenoids?
