I'm not there to see what you're doing , but for the EGR, if it's a separate spacer under the carb with a diaphram switch, remove the switch from the spacer and make a steel cover to replace it. Then just bolt the carb in place of the old one. You'll figure out the rest as far as the fuel line, vacuum hoses and linkage. Just remember to install an inline fuel filter between the carb and fuel pump. Follow the instructions for the choke that're included with the carb. I can't tell you how that hooks up, I never use the things.
