1962 Econoline pickup

Hello...I have owned this pickup for three years. It was restored 12 years ago and still looks and runs OK. The only problem I was having was a leaking carb float bowl and the accompanying smell of fuel in the cab which my wife objected to.
I found a carb gasket kit and solved the problem finally. The manuals I have don't show the routine for adjusting the steering box. Is there a simple way of adjusting some of the play out? Thanks...Roy. PS. My other trucks are a clean 1984 F150 which is my daily driver, and a 1928 Model A open cab which I have owned for 38 years.
