Not really, factory was plastic and aluminum.

I have re-soldered my share of old ones. After some time they work harden and you are basically S-O-L. That's the main reason I'll turn it over to a pro; less worry.

A good shop can basically re-make the whole thing, leak test, and guarantee the work. Right now that sounds very appealing to me.
