Honestly, your chances of finding the parts are far from good. The parts for that paticular engine are paticularly hard to find. And just as JD717 said, the 2.3L gas engine, 3.0L and 4.0L gas engine, all are easily repairable due to the high availability of parts. Since he has a 2.2 he obviously doesn't need power, so I would suggest finding and dropping a 2.3L gas engine into it if he so desires. It would require quite a bit of reworking, but would be a great project, and that 2.3L will run FOREVER if he takes care of it.
