I have no idea what that white geared looking do hickey is. Did you get that motor from the dealer? It should have been nothing but the motor assembly in a box with a red or orange colored card inside with instructions on it.

The parking pawl thing I was referring to is the bracket that is part of the blade that seats onto the pad in the park position.
