In the owners manual in my 04 it says not to go over 8 mph in 4x4 low range. I have to come to a complete stop engaging or disengaging put it in neutral, put foot on brake, change the switch. I have done this a couple of times and have had no problems.
Wow someone that actually read his owners manual.
This should help the ones that don't and if you don't do it in the right order it will not work.I drove mine to the dealer in 4L and did I look stupid when he showed me how to do it.
