Tom,

Our projects are very similar. I am doing a '50 F-1 with a 351W and C4. I have installed a TCI Mustang II IFS. I used their weld-in ford motor mounts and original steel and rubber Ford mounts on the engine. I tried a Chassis Engineering transmission crossmember but changed to a TCI unit so I could fit in the TCI power booster and brake/MC combination. The main problem I had was the clearing the IFS crossmember with the oil pan. Had to change over to a rear sump with an dipstick fitting in the pan. Came out okay. It is a fun project but you can count on challenges all along the way. Make sure you measure the weld-in mounts carefully before you cut them.
