I wouldn't go any bigger than 2.5 for a single, I would prefer 2.25, 1.75-2.0 for a dual exhaust. If you go any bigger on a small V-6 it will end up hurting the exhaust flow. The mufflers are really only going to affect the sound when you get into performance ones.
