Actually I thought GM had dropped the diesel option from the Express/Savannah with the 2003 redesign. Last time I checked out the specs they only offered the 4.3L V-6 and the 4.8/5.3/6.0 V-8s.

I think GM is ahead with some options, like AWD, and the available long wheelbase on 2500 and 3500 vans. However, I think Ford is ahead in the style, reliability, and engine dept, offering the V-10 and Powerstroke, although the diesel is de-tuned in the Econoline.
