At night - I-70 thru downtown to Airport X-way then north of 465 to 74. IF .. IF you come thru on a race weekend (US Grand Prix starts the 17th of June) then I would AVOID I-465 and I-74 on the west side near the racetrack. A nice route I take to avoid race traffic would be from the east - take I-465 north then west across the north leg - continue onto I-865 (the "dogleg") to I-65 North like you would go to Chicago. Go to Lebanon, Indiana and get off at SR 32 (3rd Lebanon exit). Turn left on SR 32 (you'd be going west) and go about 20 miles. You'll pick up I-74 at the 39 mile marker near Crawfordsville. 30 minutes you'll be passing Lynch Road and be back in the Land of Lincoln.
