Part of the bullet-proofing is getting rid of that stuff. I don't know if this is possible on the 6.4L or 6.7L... particularly when you factor in all the electronics counting on the hardware being there, and the body-lift factor.
You don't have to get rid of anything to make a 6.0 just as solid as a 7.3. But you do need to replace some stuff with better quality aftermarket parts.
