Welcome to FTE. Your V-6 in the '05 sure wasn't the engine that the 300 was but, overall the truck was much better built.

I've owned three 80's model F-150's, a 4x2 and two 4x4's. I've had two 300's and a 351.

My 2011 would easily pull any of those trucks backwards, gets phenomenal MPG's, is comfortable as all get out and is practically maintenance free in comparison.

The next gen F-150 will continue these fantastic attributes, I'm certain of it.
