My 99 F150 has 3.55 gears with the 5.4L. Pretty much economy gears. Just the thing I don't like about 4.10 or even 4.30 gearing is because the RPMs will be higher at highway speeds. I just looked up the 2 piece spark plugs...holy crap! $10-$13 for just 1 plug??? I can see why people have to buy a broken spark plug wrench. I would not be looking forward to spending $104-$130.

What was the motor upgrade for the 2000 model year?
