I first realised the puppies could see me when they followed me with their eyes around the pen.

What was wonderful was when they began to wag their tails - the smallest female did that first

It meant that they cared...

They had begun to express love!

It said: "Come and play with me...", it had nothing to do with food and water

They are four weeks old now, and stand on their own paws!!!
