If he didn't return his truck to stock, there is very much a chance that it is vin locked to his old truck. You have a couple of options. 1. Pay the company to unlock the device. 2. Use it as a code reader only or 3. Toss it and buy a new one.
Nothing means nothing as if it was not even plugged in! Superchips reps in Australia doesn't touch that model, the ford dealer that sold it to my mate a few years back doesn't want know about it either! I'm waiting for a response from the parent company to respond. Don't really want to spend a $1k for a new one
I'll have to contact the original owner to see if the truck was still set up with the settings when he sold it.
