I have been researching this. Its actually quite common to loose forward gears in the 4R75W. The "E" too. Its common for a thrust bearing to go out in the gear train and take out the planetary gears and distribute metal chunks throughout. It is also common for forward drum to just spit. Doesn't matter how well you take care of your transmission, or how many miles on the vehicle. These are design and material defects. Its a total crap shoot. You could be in the middle of the dessert with your family on the way to Disney and your F150 or Expedition will leave you for the buzzards. You like your Ford Truck? Do you feel lucky? Do ya? I have had enough. I just want it out of my site.

But the wife likes the vents and power 3 rd seat....nahh nahh nahh Ugggh. Shes getting a frkin Prius now
