I just changed a unit bearing (wheel bearing ) on my F350 yesterday. It had been making a little noise for awhile and I had a strange wear pattern start on that tire then Friday on the way home it started growling so I stopped and grabbed one . I tore into to it yesterday it had no play in it that I could find and looked fine ( factory original part with 206,000 on it ) so I changed it anyway and yep it was bad even though it looked good. I would first look at your tires and rims, did you lose a wheel weight ? Move the tire around and see if the vibration moves with it.
When ever I install new hubs with Allen set screws like the MM's I put RTV on the screw and a dab in the screw recess ,makes every thing come apart easier and might help hold it together too.
