No I don't have a ford parts catalog and being new to fords well...LMC lists the stamped
numbers for the shrouds in their catalog.
ID numbers are molded into the fiberglass.
Since the D4TA-AA
and the D7TA-AA are the same dimensions except for the depth I want to make sure I get the right one.
I'm confused you are helping me though.
I have the 1973/79 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog (available on a CD from hipoparts.com). Who else typing in this forum has it besides jermafenser and mikeo0o0o0?
I know the 460 wasn't an option
with 4WD, so I have no idea what to cross reference for research.
No clue as to what the engine came out of. Could have been from a lincoln for as much as I can tell.
I didn't think the 351 radiator/shroud parts could be used for a 460 but it looks like it pretty much is?
The radiator being moved also is throwing me off and made me think I need to triple check before I order.
I still don't know what it is since you say the tag number isn't fomoco related and there is no other ID visible
.*
Where did you come up with
D4TA-AA? No such ID number. There's
D4TA-CA &
CB (460),
D4TA-DB (360/390),
D4TA-EB (390) and that's it.
People swap engines but may leave the original radiators/shrouds in place, may not.
D3TZ-8005-G ..
Super Cooling Radiator: 1973/76 F100/350
360/390 / 1973/79 F100/350
460 / 1977/79 F100/350 351M/400 / 1978/79 Bronco 351M/400.
The radiator is the same, but
not the fan shrouds!
* Here's page 1 (of 4): Radiator ID numbers to Ford part numbers. Notice that
8005 is both the ID basic number and the part number basic number.
