'62 Uni Buid thread

Just dawned on me today that I hadn't kept the folks on this site up to speed with my current build.

Sold the green '61 uni I had and went on a road trip to find a rust free truck. Left home after work on a Friday and ended up in Texas by way of Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana. Bought the truck and was back into Oklahoma before bedtime Saturday night.

Stopped in Springfield, MO to buy a set of rust free doors to replace the damaged left door on the truck I bought.

Plans call for an Industrial Chassis Dakota kit, 9" on triangulated 4 bars with coilovers, a 430 Lincoln engine/auto tranny, and more. This will be the Lincoln pickup that Lincoln would have built if they built pickups in 1962.

This is a 1962 Lincoln Phantom, Model MK100.

Here's a link to the pics. Will keep you posted on progress!

For those interested, I'm building a 1969.5 Ford Maverick Pro Stock "clone/tribute" car in the bay next to the uni. 351C, tunnel ram, 2 4bbls, narrowed 9", top loader, etc. Built true to 1970 Pro Stock rules. Here's a link to that build.
