Greetings, this is my 1st post on the Tech site.

I am interested in geting a 2003 F-250 with the 5.4/6 spd and have not had the opportunity to drive one. My question is for you guys and girls who have the 6 spd. Any regrets/problems/wish you had got the auto? My main concern is 1st gear a true bulldog? Ratio? By true bulldog or granny first I mean something on the order of 6.3:1, like my 78 chevy has. Most of my driving is rural, very little city driving and I really don't want the auto, but I don't want a 6 spd that will not hold up. Many thanks for your comments
