Project 79

Hey everyone. I have started another project Ford F150. I had a friend of mine give me a cab(rusted out) and frame for a 79 Ford F150 Ranger XLT. It did have the 4spd trans. and np205 tc still attached though which helped. I found a donor truck to get a good body off of and began its transformation. I didn't take pics of the very beginning but now I wish I had. I had to cut the longbed down to make a shortbed, not what I really wanted to do but it saved me some money. I had to search for a bit to find a front axle relatively close and the hardest part so far was finding a flywheel for the np235 4spd. I'm new to the site so I have to figure out how to upload pics from photobucket. I don't know if anyone can see this one or not but it was a mid point in getting things done on this. I also have some leftover parts that I need to sell to try and recoupe a little money from doing all of this once I figure out how to post in the classifieds. I have 3 hoods for 73-79 f series trucks if anyone needs one. They are in decent shape but all need paint. I will get a list together of the other parts I have to post in the classified once I figure it out. I have had a 76 Ford F150 since 1997 and have made alot of modifications to it. It started out as an F150 with a 300/c6/2wd. I converted it to a 400/c6/np205 and added a dana 44 front and dana 60 rear. It has 12" of susp. lift and a 3" body lift with 39" tires on 16.5 alum dir rims. I have a 460/c6/div 205 to put into it as soon as it quits raining and warms up along with an orange paint job. It has been sitting around my families houses since 99 while I have been in the Navy and deployed around the world. Hopefully I will get a chance to finish both Fords before I get deployed again but either way I only have two yrs left before I retire out of the Navy so I will def finish in the next few yrs regardless. I bought this truck to pull the other ones around with until I can get them finished. I hope to be able to attend the next meet you guys have before I do get deployed again. I am glad to see so many people still interested in the old Fords.
