I routinely haul my flat deck with over 8k of water on it for our acerage and in one place I come to a 90 degree turn and then up a hill. THis thing pulls that hill like it's not even there and the smooth power off the bottom keeps it from spinning up the hill as these are dirt roads. It does pull hard just not abrupt taking off. I came from an 08 Ram 2500 Hemi 4x4 and that thing on the same road was either lugging like mad or spinning the rear tires up the hill as the tranny did not have a proper ratio for what I was doing. I think you would be quite happy with the 3.73's if your loads are under 10k. Over 10k there is no doubt I would have 4.30's unless you just want to tear around with the truck vs using it for what they are intended for then 4.30's all the way for the grin I guess.
