The second link addresses the shifter being too far back. You can do a tail swap from a S10 to move the shifter forward. The clutch setup will not change because you can use your current flywheel and pressure plate. The only parts needing replaced are your pilot bearing and your clutch plate to match the transmission splines. You can retain your existing hydraulic clutch setup as it is with no modifications.
