Are you aboulutely sure that no one has messed with the pedal-as in swapping one from anouther year/model of truck?

If so, its most likely just your brakelight switch itself or the fastener/clip

A new clip "should" come with a new switch, thats what was wrong with mine....cheap enough fix.
