I also have a 2012 built in March 2012, delivered April 6th. We had one Nox sensor replaced at 725 miles along with a computer flash. Had the same "DEF system fault" message again around 4000 miles but they only did a computer reflash that time no sensor change, and since then no problems. We have just under 12K miles now.
