Well, at normal shift points on my truck in Tow/Haul mode the truck turns almost 3500 RPM's. And turns about 2500 RPM's normal driving............... I don't see that RPM's will actually effect the lonjevity of the truck. I hope I don't have this truck even at the 100K Mile mark. Hope to have a newer one by that mileage mark.
International's website says the governed speed of the VT365 is 2800 rpm. Peak torque occurs at 1400 rpm. I haven't hauled with my 04 yet but I'm amazed that it shifts at 3500 rpm in tow/haul mode. I would have guessed it would shift at a point where right after the shift it is at peak torque.
