In some cases, like my old Hurst 3 and 4 speed shifters, the shifter has a hole in the works so you can put a 1/4" drill bit through the works, aligning the stick and the rods to the neutral position.

You then put the trans in neutral and adjust the rods to the arms on the trans.

It really depends on what you lost as to how big a pita this will be.

Also, chock your wheels before you climb under this thing and put it in neutral.....
Thanks for the response 85, I am going to check it out next weekend. I may just go with a new shifter kit, I was reading about the Hurst kit. I just have to figure out which one I need.
