Any thoughts on an oil change????? Dealer said not to do it until the truck tells me it needs one. Every other vehicle I've bought I always did it at 500 mi. Just to get the factory junk out. The dip stick looks like its been in there for 15k. I'm told thats normal though.
I did mine at around 700 FWIW. It did look pretty beat. Until the rings break in, a lot of fuel and blow by is going to get past them and into the oil, so it's expected. My truck also had something like 5 or 6 hours of idle time but only 20 miles when I picked it up, which isn't good for the oil, or the break in process either.
