Your post saved me hundreds of dollars and a lost weekend.

I thought i would list my symptoms in hopes of helping others. My wife's 2005 Navigator with 78k started but as she pulled out of her Costco parking spot it died and she could not get it started. When I got there it would start but was missing bad and died after 5-10 seconds. After trying it a couple times it stopped firing and would crank over and over (I think this was when the fuse blew).

I went home did a search and found this post. I ordered the new FPDM from Advance Auto that night and they had it 9:30AM the next day. Fixed it in the Costco parking lot and drove it home to mount properly.

A key piece of this whole thing is both of us had trouble on a humid/rainy day which aggravates the electronics. After seeing fuse #12 was blown I knew it the FPDM was the issue. Prior to that day on humid/rainy days it would miss occasionally. I changed the plugs thinking that was the issue but it ultimately turned out to be the FPDM.
