ficm prices and rough start

If the FICM is bad or fails the 48 v test are there aftermarket FICMs that are better than OEM or is a Ford part needed? Up here on Vancouver Island price for a FICM for 2006 f250 6.0l CC SB Lariat is about $800 +- plus 4 hrs to instal. Is this in the ball park? I plug my truck in for about 2 hours prior to starting and it starts right up nice and smooth. Cold starting at 32F stumbles and quits for about 5-7 tries. Runs really rough for 10 seconds then levels out nice. No problems rest of day. Any other suggestions? thx
