Wink Commercial B99.9??

I have been running commercially made Bio Diesel B99.9 (beef tallow based) for about 6 months in my 99.5 F350 with 7.3

I have just experiances what most say is the pick up foot failing in the tank-they are saying that the Bio mad have accellerated the deterioration of the foot which looks to be plastic:

My guage stopped at 1/4 mark and I ran out of fuel.

Lots of folks are saying to do the common "Hutch" mod to the tank/pick up, I am concerned that some say the inline filter that is supplied with the kit from Strictly Diesel is too fine and can cause pre-mature failure of the pump.

This is the kithttp://www.strictlydiesel.com/p-2662-driven-diesel-fuel-tank-pre-pump-kit.aspx:

Any advice? Thanks!
