Who in their right mind would want to fight 3 or 4 alt's off of taurus's ? I can understand why a shop charges $500 to do it on top of he $200 for the alt. In the book it calls for the motor to be lifted up so you can get to the thing. Yeah you can break out the BFE & crowbar to make it a little easyer but its still a PIA.

Yep I'm sticking with the GM 1 wire. Who honestly needs a full 130 amps at idle? I mean come on if a 70 amp alt can handle a thumper radio or four 210 watt off road lights what's the point? No I can't run the radio & the lights at the same time but if the lights are on I should prolly be watching the road not jamming out to the tunes right......
