I, on the other hand, bought an '05 with 60K miles and my temps are perfect. I am adding a coolant filter soon, and don't plan any work on EGR or oil coolers in the foreseeable future. It all depends on the truck, and what the temps are. You can easily buy a Scangauge, program it and take your target truck for a drive with it plugged in.

I'd be more worried about fuel pressure, personally. I have a definite bee in my bonnet about low fuel pressure. Search blue spring...
