Without too big of a set up you could have a couple or mabe even three sets of bluejean filter buckets. this way you would increase your filtering process.

Also the fact that the buckets may sit and settle allows some heavy crud drop to the bottom. You should stay away from this crud and just gather the crud in a waste bucket to bring to the recycle shop in your area.

Some type of magnets (any type like old speakers or little motors) attached to the flow process may help with metal particles.

This would be my idea of a crude low budget system.
