This Bracket is on a 1960 ford f250 4x4. We dont know if it is stock or if it was added by a previous owner. It is under the cab on the drivers side. Does any body else have this bracket and if so can you tell me what it was used for? If its not important we are going to cut it off. All we can figure is that it was an exhaust pipe bracket for a 223. Thanks for your help.
Any evidence that any of the front frame cross members have been notched. Say for a drive shaft of shorts maybe for a power takeoff for a winch. Its in the area where one may have been mounted. Just a guess as I have never seen one mounted but they did have that capability. There was one mounted on my 63 F250 4x4 at one time. There are notches cut out of the front frame cross members for drive shaft clearance to the winch on the front bumper. Any evidence that the dash has a cutout for a PTO lever or switch?
