I would think that the electronics would be the biggest hurdle to cross. Any engine and transmission can be bolted in, but making them work is another story today. Ford Racing might be a good place to start looking for tech support. I have been thinking about finding a way to install the six speed automatic in my 06 5.4L. I like most everything about the 06, but the tranny is way outdated. I'm thinking that a tranny swap might be cheaper than a new truck and all the electronic nannies that I neither want or need.
