Mine was easy, i found the wiring harness and it was plug and play! But I am not sure if it is the same on an 05, so I cannot comment since mine was on an 08.
I have an 08 XL. I was told the connecting harness is to the left of the horn, on the drivers side. It has a dummy plug in the connector. So, far, I have replaced the head light switch with the one that pulls out for fog; however, when I remove the dummy plug and check for current with a test light, there is no current at the harness. What am I missing?
