heck its just $20 for a 15' roll of steel brake line, yeah, the line nuts start adding up in price, and unions arent cheap either, but once you learn & get good at double-flareing brake line, you can justify the cost of the double-flare tool kit you'll also need. get the "good stuff" yes, its $80 from sears, but the &30 one from autozone just doesnt hold the line good enough when you go to make the flare, i thought it was me being out of practice until i broke down & got a good tool to use then was makeing perfect double-flares every time. you might even find yourself doing work on the side & the tool can litterly pay for itself.
