Ok, I was just outside in the heat looking at a few things. I checked the vacuum lines under the hood and everything seems to be in place. The grey vacuum line that connects to the heater line is plugged in and I confirmed that the valve does close when I turn on the AC.

I took off a black panel held in by two screws in the passenger footwell. I can see a plastic mesh looking grill on the firewall. Is this the cabin intake port? If so, I can't see any kind of obstruction there. If I press the recirc button the AC control panel, I can feel tons of hot air blowing out of that port. Is that normal? If I turn off the recirc button, I don't feel any air coming out of that port anymore.I hope this makes sense.
