My 2000 Explorer sport drivers door would not open or unlock. Was told that the actuator needs replacing but a quick fix was to spray WD-40 into keyhole and also into lock mechanism while the door is open. This worked right away and did it about 3 times in the following couple of weeks. Still opens perfectly.
