I took my truck in last week and had the selling dealer due a tranny flush and change the filter. I have 25,000 miles on the truck and when towing my 5er, I'm over 27,000 GCVW. The tranny gets pretty hot at times so I figured I would do a little preventative maintenance. I have the dealership due occasional maintenance repairs when I don't have the time. I feel like it keeps a good relationship between us. I can't afford to always take it to the shop. But, this way, they know I still trust them and want to service my truck in a timely manner.
I had a pcm flash about a year ago for the bumpy shifts. It didn't really seem to help much, after about 1000 miles it was back to it's old tricks. I asked the service writer to check for updates and they wound up replacing three solenoids, as per TSB 11-7-10.
11-7-10***6.7L WITH 6R140 TRANSMISSION - 2-3 SHIFT FLARE AND/OR MIL ON WITH DTC P0733 AND/OR DELAYED REVERSE ENGAGEMENT - BUILT ON OR BEFORE 4/11/2011
We'll see if it helps. So far, it's shifting great.
Does anyone know where the solenoids are located?
