Not sure if it goes all the way back to '80 but the '87-97 cabs supposedly all had all the mounting nuts already installed for every seat option. So the only hangup would be if buckets were not an option in a reg cab in '88. If the holes are already there then any seats from '80-96/7 should bolt right in
