The September 2011 issue of Truck Trend Magazine showed a dyno test of the three engines.
The Eco Boost put out more power then either V8 all the way to 5000 RPM.
At that point, it's torque curve then fell off more rapidly then the 6.2 allowing the 6.2 to claim more "peak horsepower" which was at about 5600 RPM.
That's ok, I don't do much towing, and only wind through the lower RPMs once from a dead stop and then I stay in the higher RPMs with each upshift after that.
I still stand by my statement that Ford's claim is false and misleading:
