Cograts on the new home place.
I dug a 2' deep hole by 4' diameter for my burn pit. I put some large rocks around the top edge to make it look more like a fire pit. Now, when I burn, it's more like a fire in a fire pit rather than a brush burning fire. I think you could get away with it more if it looked like it was a fire for enjoyment rather than a yard clearing brush fire. I know here we have to get a fire permit for a brush fire, but not for a camp fire.
