Nah... yours is the norm. I got 14-15 on overall average with the 2002.

I drive conservately with egg on my gas pedal. I lost about .5 mpg with slightly beefer BF Goodrich TA 285/70/17 tires. Be happy.... Don't worry about gas mileage too much unless it dips into 10-12's.
