Someone asked about the '97 4.0l fuel rail gasket. The gasket between the intake manifold and the fuel rail (not the gaskets on top of the fuel rail, to the plastic plenum).

I tried and tried to buy that gasket one day, all that I could find was the Fel-Pro one that is almost 1/4" thick. I didn't want to use that thick gasket, because that would raise the fuel rail and risk poor injector sealing.

I finally went to the dealer and they had the correct gasket in stock: F8PZ-9E436-AA, about $20 (Apr2012).
