Oil flow is more important than oil pressure. Low pressure means more flow with a positive displacement pump. The film strength of the oil and its additives are what is preventing wear. The system pressure just makes sure that the heat generated is carried away and a fresh supply of oil is there to replace what has been heated up & squished away.
