I love my 6.2. I test drove it back to back with an Ecoboost several times on 2 different afternoons before I purchased my truck, and just felt the V8 roar was intoxicating and addictive. I think the upcharge is goofy (I got a fair deal on my truck after rebates so I'm not really complaining) considering the 6.2 crate motor is cheaper than either the 5.0 or Ecoboost, but I like the exclusivity and having a (relatively) rare motor in my F150. I'm averaging 15 MPG right now (4x2, 3.73 rear end).

Is it worth it? For me it was, but I don't know your situation or needs. I understand if you're towing a lot, the Ecoboost has more torque earlier in the RPM band than either V8 offering (reducing the need to downshift as often).
